tuscanFlorence: International Hub of Art, Wine,
Cuisine & Culture
Florence, offers everything to its visitors: from a sophisticated city to mythical countryside; from the best of Italy’s Renaissance art and culture to hearty everyday cuisine and excellent wines.

Florence likewise is famous as home to artistic geniuses like Michelangelo, Dante and Leonardo Da Vinci, just as it is for its everyday merchants in the silk, fashion and agricultural trades.

Florence is visited by millions of tourists each year, while the city itself and nearby provincial hill-towns remain an international hub for artists, intellectuals and culture vultures seeking world class meats, produce and wines.

Day Trip Itinerary
tuscanOur day trip to Florence takes you on a 10-hour tour into the heart of Italian art, high fashion and country cuisine.

Arriving in Florence after a spectacular 3-hour drive through the Tuscan heartland, we suggest taking a tour of the Museo dell'Accademia, the world-renown museum housing the greatest works in Renaissance art, like Michelangelo’s David.

From there, will lead you to the city’s breathtaking Cathedral, Santa Maria del Fiore, with its unique baptistery and stunning bell tower designed by Giotto.

tuscanThe cathedral opens up onto Florence’s main square, Piazza della Signoria, the heart and pulse of the city. The square has acted as major social and commercial meeting place since its original medieval construction.

Here we suggest taking in the inspiring surroundings while leisurely lounging in the nearest outdoor bar or café.

About now your stomach will be churning for a fine Italian lunch. The only problem is choosing from the many excellent trattorias and restaurants in downtown Florence! We will certainly make suggestions, depending on your diet and particular tastes.

After lunch we suggest taking a stroll through Florence’s shopping district, ending up at Piazza Santa Croce, the square where many small anonymous churches house the tombs of several great artists, like Michelangelo.

tuscanWhile resisting your heart’s desire to stay and become Florentine, in the late afternoon we will whisk you off to Rome while passing through the sunset-lit Tuscan landscape, with rays of gold gently illuminating vineyards, olive groves and rolling hills speckled with centuries-old castles and spires.

There is no better way to say “arrivederci” to Tuscany!
